The Broward Sheriffs Office (BSO) will exhibit recovered items from the investigation today at 10 a.m. Wednesday May 14th at the Tamarac District Office located at 7515 Pine Island Road in Tamarac. A detective will be present for interviews well. According to detectives, from the Broward Sheriffs Office Tamarac District office a duo of house cleaners not cleaned their clients homes but also took away valuable jewelry, cash and other belongings from the victims. Detectives are now encouraging victims to step forward and claim ownership of the stolen items that were recently recovered. A search warrant was executed at the residence of Oscar German Munoz and Martha Cecilia Molano in Coral Springs Monday (May 5th). During the search operation conducted by detectives numerous belongings such, as necklaces, rings, watches, earrings, gems, coins and cash were. Subsequently recovered. Photographs of some of the retrieved items can be seen above. The incident started in April when an older couple residing in the Yardley neighborhood in Tamarac reported the theft of a substantial amount of valuable items, from their residence. Investigators looked into Munoz and Molano after spotting them on surveillance footage waiting for the homeowners to depart from their house before heading with cleaning materials and leaving shortly afterward. Subsequent inquiries uncovered a series of break ins in the area with situations and approaches employed by the perpetrators. Detectives suspect that numerous burglaries were committed by the couple posing as trusted housecleaners targeting wealthy victims. Furthermore investigators found that the duo sold stolen jewelry to pawn shops and used the money to finance trips overseas. Munoz and Molano were apprehended on charges related to burglary and grand theft in July 2022. The authorities are currently actively investigating the duo.
