BOYNTON BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A Boynton Beach man has died following a crash involving an electric dirt bike at Westchester Country Club, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators say the incident happened March 23 around 1 p.m. along a cart path on the golf course at 12250 Westchester Club Drive. The rider, identified as 54-year-old Scott Herman, was operating a 2025 Rawrr Mantis X electric dirt bike at a high rate of speed near the fifth hole. According to PBSO, Herman drove off the paved path and into the grass, where he lost control of the bike and was thrown off.

PBSO says Herman was transported to Delray Medical Center following the crash. He later died from his injuries on April 10 at approximately 8:40 p.m.

No other vehicles were listed as involved in the crash, and investigators did not indicate any contributing factors beyond the loss of control. The report states the reason for the loss of control remains unknown.

The crash remains under investigation by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
