BOYNTON BEACH, FL — A motorcyclist was thrown from his Kawasaki Ninja after a crash at Boynton Beach Boulevard and El Clair Ranch Road, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Albert Garcia, 28, of West Palm Beach, later died at Delray Medical Center, PBSO said in a Traffic Division log entry/press release.
The crash happened at 7:08 a.m. on June 12, 2026, at the intersection of Boynton Beach Boulevard and El Clair Ranch Road. Garcia was pronounced deceased at 7:35 a.m., according to PBSO.
PBSO identified Garcia as the driver of a 2007 Kawasaki Ninja. The other vehicle was a 2016 Kia Forte driven by Glenn Robert Swift, 39, of Boynton Beach, according to deputies.
According to PBSO, Garcia was traveling eastbound on Boynton Beach Boulevard, approaching El Clair Ranch Road, at a high rate of speed.
Swift was traveling westbound on Boynton Beach Boulevard and was stopped at the intersection while attempting to turn left to travel southbound on El Clair Ranch Road, PBSO said.
As the Kia began the left turn, Garcia applied the motorcycle’s brakes, but PBSO said there was not enough time or distance before impact. The front of the motorcycle then struck the passenger side of the Kia inside the intersection, according to deputies.
PBSO said Garcia was thrown from the motorcycle and came to rest within the intersection, a short distance southwest of the impact area. The motorcycle came to rest at or near the point of impact. The Kia came to a controlled rest in the southwest corner of the intersection, facing west.
Garcia was wearing a helmet, according to PBSO. Swift was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured, according to deputies.
