84-year-old Andrew Lerner Kahn was critically injured in a high speed crash that injured two others in unincorporated Boynton Beach on Tuesday morning.

84-Year-Old Critically Injured In Boynton Beach Crash

BOYNTON BEACH, FL — 84-year-old Andrew Lerner Kahn was critically injured in a high speed crash that injured two others in unincorporated Boynton Beach on Tuesday morning.

The crash happened near US-441 and Lee Road in unincorporated Boynton Beach at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, March 26th, 2024.

Deputies say that a Ford E-250 was traveling southbound on SR 7 within the inside lane approaching Lee Road.
At the same time, 84-year-old Andrew Lerner Kahn was driving a Honda Civic southbound on SR 7 at a high rate of speed swerving within both lanes behind the van.

As Kahn’s car neared the van, it impacted the rear of the van, under-riding it. As the crash ensued, the van separated from the Civic and was redirected to the left crossing the median and the northbound lanes of SR 7. The van came to a final rest on the east shoulder. The Civic continued southbound then crossed the median and the northbound lanes. The Civic then entered the east shoulder and impacted the guardrail and came to a final rest.

Both drivers were transported to Delray Medical Center.

Deputies say that Kahn may have been experiencing a medical emergency prior to the collision.
