BOCA RATON, FL — A stretch of St. Andrews Road remains closed Tuesday morning in Boca Raton because of wires in the roadway, according to a traffic advisory from the Boca Raton Police Department.

Police said St. Andrews is closed between NW 25th Street and NW 27th Street. The advisory, sent as a non-emergency alert, said the closure is still in place and drivers should seek an alternate route.

The alert was issued at 9:01 a.m. EDT on June 23, 2026. Boca Raton Police did not provide an estimated time for reopening in the advisory, and no additional details were included about the wires.

For residents and commuters in Boca Raton and nearby parts of Palm Beach County, the closure affects a short segment of a north-south roadway and may require detours around the NW 25th Street to NW 27th Street area. Drivers heading through the corridor should plan for rerouting and allow extra time.

Boca Raton Police is the agency issuing the traffic advisory and directing motorists to avoid the closed section. The department’s notice asked drivers to use an alternate route until the roadway can be cleared and reopened.

What happens next is tied to the roadway being made safe and passable. Until then, the closure remains in effect for through traffic on St. Andrews between NW 25th Street and NW 27th Street.

Residents should watch for updates from the Boca Raton Police Department and expect continued traffic impacts in the immediate area while the closure remains in place.
