BOCA RATON, FL — The notice taped to the front door is short and final: the LA Fitness on Beracasa Way in Boca Raton is closing for good.
According to a sign posted at the club, the location will permanently close on Wednesday, Aug. 5 at 2 p.m. The notice does not list a reason.
The sign tells members whose membership lists the Beracasa Way club as their home gym that their access will expand at that time to include all LA Fitness locations nationwide, including Signature clubs.
The nearest club, according to the notice, is Boca Raton West – State Rd, at 20443 State Rd. 7 (Bay BB1). The phone number listed on the sign is (561) 482-1146.
The sign directs members to lafitness.com or the LA Fitness mobile app for a full list of locations.
The LA Fitness corporate office did not respond to a request for comment from Boca Post on the reason for the closure or any plans for the space.
