BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — A hit and run accident which occurred on 12/13/21 in Boca West recently led to the arrest following an arrest of a Boca Raton woman on 2/9/22.

Angela Singh, 61, was arrested this week for the hit and run accident that occurred on December 13th, 2021. According to an arrest affidavit submitted by Palm Beach Sheriff's Office, it was determined that Singh was driving a silver Mercedes which struck the 74 year old victim, Hedy Schwartz Mandell, knocking her off her bicycle and then leaving her without providing help.

According to the police report, after Singh hit Mandell with her Mercedes she stopped the  and approached the injured bicyclist. Mandell allegedly told Singh that she was injured and wanted to report the accident. Singh then told Mandell that she was fine and then left in her Mercedes. Mandell's right arm was injured from the accident and an x-ray later determined that it was fractured.

Mandell later reported the incident to PBSO. On 12/21/21, deputies spoke with Singh who said she doesn't know if she actually hit the victim. Singh claimed that she thinks the bicyclist swerved to avoid her and fell on her own. Singh also claimed that she stopped to talk to the victim but was told that she was not hurt. Singh said that since the victim was looking at her tag number she assumed that was enough of an exchange of information.

Ultimately, Singh was charged with leaving the scene of an accident with injuries. She was processed by the PBSO jail on 2/9/22 and released on $3,000 bond.
