BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Today in Boca Raton will be mostly sunny and comfortable for mid-April, with a high near 82 and an east breeze around 6 to 10 mph. Rain looks unlikely during the day, but clouds increase a bit tonight with lows near 72. Sunday stays warm (mid-80s) with only a small chance of a late-day shower. The bigger change arrives Monday into early Tuesday, when a cold front boosts rain and thunderstorm chances and turns the wind gusty, especially near the coast
Saturday starts with a familiar South Florida spring setup: high pressure nearby keeping the air fairly dry and the weather mostly quiet. The National Weather Service notes warm and dry conditions hold through today, with the best chance for any pop-up showers focused well to our west where the Gulf breeze can spark a brief shower.
For Boca Raton and the east coast, the main story is sunshine, an onshore (east) breeze, and temperatures topping out in the low 80s. One early-morning note from the forecast discussion: patchy fog is possible inland between about 4 a.m.
and 9 a.m. thanks to light winds and a bit more moisture returning.
That’s not a big beachside issue, but drivers heading across the interior should stay alert for sudden low visibility. Sunday begins the transition.
For boaters and beachgoers near Boca Raton, conditions are relatively calm today and Sunday: east to southeast winds generally 5 to 10 knots with seas around 2 feet or less nearshore, and light chop on the Intracoastal. The bigger concern is early next week.
As the cold front moves through, northeast winds strengthen Monday afternoon and especially Monday night into Tuesday, with frequent 25 to 30 knot winds and rapidly building seas offshore. Forecast seas rise to 9 to 12 feet with higher sets possible near the Gulf Stream, making for hazardous boating and rough conditions at inlets and along the beaches.
