Today's Weather - Monday, June 8, 2026
BOCA RATON, FL — Mostly sunny and warm today with a high near 88° and a light breeze that turns easterly by mid-morning. Rain chances are very low for Boca Raton today, so most neighborhoods stay dry. Tonight turns mostly cloudy and muggy with lows near 79°. Shower and thunderstorm chances begin to creep up Tuesday and Wednesday, then increase more noticeably late week into the weekend
South Florida’s weather pattern is staying fairly steady to start the week, and that’s good news if you’re hoping for a quieter Monday in Boca Raton. The National Weather Service says high pressure over the Gulf remains the main driver early this week, keeping our winds generally out of the east and helping limit widespread rain on the Atlantic side.
For today, the bigger focus for showers is expected to be on the Gulf coast and interior sections of the peninsula. That’s because the daily sea-breeze pattern tends to push the Atlantic breeze inland while the Gulf breeze gets pinned closer to the west coast, concentrating the best lift away from the immediate east coast.
On top of that, the atmosphere has a layer of drier air aloft today, which makes it harder for storms to grow tall and produce frequent lightning. In plain terms: a few showers may pop up inland, but Boca Raton is favored to stay mostly dry.
Temperatures still run summerlike. Expect highs in the upper 80s along the east coast, with humidity making it feel hotter at times, especially during the early afternoon.
For the Boca Raton and Deerfield Beach coastal waters, expect generally gentle to moderate east winds today (around 5–10 knots) with seas near 2 feet. Winds increase a bit tonight and Tuesday (10–15 knots), which can make the Intracoastal choppier at times.
Boating conditions look manageable overall, but keep an eye on the sky later in the week as shower and thunderstorm coverage increases; locally higher winds and rougher seas are possible near storms. Beachgoers should also plan for a more active lightning pattern late week into the weekend, which can quickly interrupt time on the sand and in the water.
