Boca Raton Man Arrested For Soliciting Prostitution – Mario Murillo

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — A Boca Raton man has been arrested for soliciting prostitution, according to jail records released to Boca Post by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Mario Murillo, 39, of the 3000 block of NE 5th Drive in Boca Raton, has been arrested Tuesday afternoon by the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office. Boca Post has been notified that the charge filed is “PROCURE FOR PROSTITUTE – SOLICIT PROCURE FOR PROSTITUTION 1ST VIOL”.

Murillo was not the only one arrested for solicitation yesterday. PBSO reported the arrest of 11 men from Palm Beach County for soliciting prostitution in an apparent sting operation yesterday evening.

Below is the narrative from the arrest report submitted by the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office:

On July 19th, 2022, at 1540 Hrs the PBSO District 14 Street Crimes Unit conducted an undercover operation within the City of Lake Worth Beach to combat Street Level Prostitution. Female Deputy Sheriffs posed as prostitutes in specific locations due to citizens’ complaints.

A female deputy was one of the ‘decoys’ posing as a prostitute at 18th Avenue South at South Dixie Highway in the City of Lake Worth Beach FL. The decoy was approached by Marie Murillo who was driving a black Toyota 4-door vehicle, bearing a Florida tag of 94BQKE.

Upon the defendant’s contact with the ia conversation ensued. During the conversation, Murillo asked Deputy “what are you doing”, Deputy replied “working”. Murillo then asked Deputy if he can get a blowjob, to which Deputy replied with “yes”. Murillo then asked Deputy “bow much”, to which Deputy replied with “how much you got?”. Murillo then stated $20. Murillo then drove east on 18th Avenue South and waited for Deputy to meet him.

The predetermined signal was given where the arrest team responded from a concealed location. Deputies stopped Murillo and took him into custody without incident. Murillo was placed in handcuffs that were checked for fit and double locked. When Murillo was searched incident to arrest Murillo did have a $20 bill on his person. Murillo was transported to the District 14 substation for processing.

Defendant requested his vehicle be parked on the southeast corner of the intersection of South Federal Highway and 18th Avenue South, the Vehicle was property parked off the roadway.

Murillo was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail at 4:20 on Tuesday afternoon and released on a $250 bail early Wednesday morning.
