Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit say a missing 78-year-old Dania Beach man has been located. 
According to detectives, a motorist saw James Ciaccio driving and alerted authorities. Law enforcement made contact with him. Ciaccio is safe and is being reunited with his family. 
A missing person alert was issued earlier today, Saturday, May 28, after Ciaccio was last seen Friday, May 27, at around 4:00 p.m. in the area of 3069 S.W. 45th St. in Dania Beach.

DANIA BEACH, FL (Boca Post) — Broward Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help in finding an elderly Dania Beach man who was last seen on Friday, May 27th, 2022.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public’s help to locate a 78-year-old man missing from Dania Beach.

According to detectives, James Ciaccio was last seen Friday, May 27, at around 4:00 p.m. in the area of the 3000 block of Southwest 45th Street in Dania Beach. He is believed to be driving a 2008 gold Honda Odyssey with Florida tag Z54CEY.
Ciaccio is about 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs around 180 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. According to his family, Ciaccio has been diagnosed with dementia.
Anyone with information on Ciaccio’s whereabouts should call BSO Detective Chris Blankenship at 954-321-4268 or the BSO non-emergency number 954-764-HELP(4357).
