FLORIDA — A Florida Purple Alert has been issued for a missing woman last known to be in Homestead, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

FDLE identified the missing person as Maria Ramirez, 69, from Homestead in Dade County.

Ramirez is described as a white-Hispanic woman with gray hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds.

The last known area listed on the FDLE flyer is Homestead, in Dade County.

The alert is being handled through local law enforcement. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Homestead Police Department at 305-247-1535 or call 911.
