Silver Alerts are used to help locate missing older adults, and they rely on quick public awareness. For South Florida residents, it’s a reminder that statewide alerts can cross county lines fast, and that tips from outside the immediate area can matter if someone travels or is transported.

Authority for the case sits with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, which is the agency FDLE directed the public to contact with information.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Marion County Sheriff’s Office at 352-732-8181 or call 911.

FDLE’s official flyer for this Silver Alert is posted online at http://www.fdle.state.fl.us/MCICSearch/Flyer.asp?ID=517256.

What happens next is driven by incoming tips and law enforcement follow-up. Residents should watch for updates to the Silver Alert and report information directly to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office or 911.
