Motorcyclist Dies After State Road 7 Crash In Royal Palm Beach, PBSO Says

ROYAL PALM BEACH, FL — A 39-year-old motorcyclist died after a crash involving an SUV on State Road 7 at Victoria Groves Boulevard in Royal Palm Beach, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

PBSO identified the motorcyclist as Albert Humphrey. The crash happened at about 9:30 p.m. on May 30, 2026, and Humphrey was pronounced dead at 10:10 p.m., according to the PBSO Traffic Division log entry.

The crash involved a 2022 Suzuki motorcycle driven by Humphrey and a 2022 BMW SUV driven by Shamalini Wafeen, 56, according to PBSO.

Investigators said Humphrey was traveling southbound on State Road 7 in the inside center lane as he approached Victoria Groves Boulevard. The BMW SUV was being turned from northbound State Road 7 to southbound State Road 7 at Victoria Groves Boulevard ahead of the motorcycle, according to the crash narrative.

During the crash, the front of the Suzuki motorcycle struck the rear of the BMW SUV, PBSO said. Humphrey was ejected from the motorcycle and traveled more than 200 feet before coming to rest, according to the report. The motorcycle separated into multiple pieces.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue treated Humphrey at the scene before he was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center for additional treatment. He died from his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 10:10 p.m., PBSO said.

Wafeen was listed with minor injuries in the PBSO report.

The PBSO release states that Humphrey’s next of kin had been notified. The provided PBSO information does not list charges and does not describe the crash as a hit-and-run.
