Broward Sheriff’s Office said its Missing Persons Unit safely located a 61-year-old man who had been reported missing from North Lauderdale.

NORTH LAUDERDALE, FL — Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives have located a 61-year-old man who was reported missing from North Lauderdale.

BSO said detectives with its Missing Persons Unit located Kenneth Corbin and that he was safely located.

The update follows a missing persons alert issued Monday, April 20. BSO said Corbin had last been seen at around 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 16, near the 7200 block of West McNab Road.

BSO’s Missing Persons Unit handled the case and issued the update.

For residents in Boca Raton and across South Florida, the key takeaway is that the missing persons alert has been resolved and BSO says Corbin is safe. Anyone who previously shared information related to the alert can note the case has been updated as located.

NORTH LAUDERDALE, FL — BSO detectives are searching for a 61-year-old man reported missing from North Lauderdale, and they are asking the public to help locate him.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit identified the missing man as Kenneth Corbin.

Detectives said Corbin was last seen at around 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 16, near the 7200 block of West McNab Road.

Corbin is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 350 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Investigators said he was last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants. Detectives also said he uses a walking cane.

According to his family, Corbin is partially blind.

BSO is handling the investigation through its Missing Persons Unit. Anyone with information about Corbin’s whereabouts is asked to contact BSO Det. Leonard Charla at 954-321-4274. Tips can also be reported to the BSO non-emergency number at 954-764-HELP (4357).

Residents who may have been in the area of the 7200 block of West McNab Road around the time he was last seen, or who may have seen someone matching his description, are being asked to call. BSO has not released additional details about where Corbin may have gone after he was last seen.

The next step in the case is gathering leads from the public and following up on any sightings reported to BSO.
