BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A fundraising campaign has been launched in Boca Raton to support the young son of Arman Motiwalla, the 37-year-old Plantation man Boca Raton Police said was found dead next to his vehicle earlier this month in a parking lot along Camino Gardens Boulevard.
The fundraiser, organized through GoFundMe, is focused on Motiwalla’s son, Amir. Organizers say the effort is meant to provide immediate financial stability for the family while building long-term support for the child’s education, including future college expenses.
Motiwalla was found around 1:45 a.m. on April 8 at 350 Camino Gardens Boulevard with multiple gunshot wounds, according to Boca Raton Police. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said at the time they were investigating the killing as an isolated incident and said there was no threat to the public.
Now, as that homicide investigation remains open, attention has also turned to the child Motiwalla left behind.
In the fundraiser, organizers describe Motiwalla as a devoted father whose main priority was his son’s future. They wrote that he was “more than just a colleague—he was a kind, hardworking, and a genuinely good person who touched the lives of everyone around him,” and said Amir “meant everything to him.”
The campaign says donations will help ease the financial burden created by Motiwalla’s sudden death and create a foundation for Amir’s education as he grows. Organizers wrote that while nothing can replace a parent, they hope to provide the boy with “support, care, and opportunity” in the years ahead.
Friends and coworkers behind the fundraiser say the goal is to honor Motiwalla not only through remembrance, but by protecting the future he wanted for his son. The campaign frames that support in practical terms: tuition, long-term education planning, and essential living expenses that may arise as Amir gets older.
That makes the fundraiser more than a short-term memorial collection. It is being presented as a structured response to the loss of the family’s primary provider, with organizers saying they plan to keep the effort centered on the child’s needs.
The language in the campaign reflects the way Motiwalla was seen by the people around him. Organizers describe him as thoughtful, hardworking and deeply committed to both family and work. They say his loss has been felt across multiple circles and that the outpouring of support came together quickly after his death.
The killing happened along Camino Gardens Boulevard, near neighborhoods and businesses, and police have not publicly identified a suspect or released details about what led up to the shooting.
