Michael Mills Jr., 18, Coral Springs, Passed Away

TAMARAC, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — An 18-year-old from Coral Springs was killed in a Tamarac crash on Sunday, May 21st, 2023.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash that occurred in Tamarac at 6:42 PM on Sunday, May 21st, 2023. The crash happened near the 8100 block of Southgate Boulevard in Tamarac. Investigators say that Nicole Rivera-Vazquez and a juvenile passenger were heading east on Southgate Boulevard.

At the same time, Michael Mills Jr. and Jaileen Mitchell were also heading eastbound in an Infiniti G37. Detectives say that Rivera-Vazquez changed lanes and made contact with the front passenger side of the Infiniti. Both vehicles then entered the median and the Infiniti struck a tree.

Tamarac Fire Rescue transported both occupants of the Infiniti to local hospitals for treatment. Investigators say that Michael Mills Jr. died 5 days later due to the injuries received from the crash.

A GoFundMe has been started by the family of Michael Mills Jr. to help with the medical bills and final expenses.
