LAKE WORTH, FL (Boca Post) — The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office tells Boca Post that they are investigating a head-on collision that killed 40-year-old Jimmy Anglade on 6th Avenue Monday night.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office tells Boca Post that at approximately 10:58 PM on Monday, September 26th, 2022, deputies responded to the area of 2700 6th Avenue South in Lake Worth.

Responding PBSO district deputies and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue found two vehicles that were apparently involved in a head-on collision.

PBSO Traffic Homicide Unit detectives were notified and began an investigation into the accident. Detectives tell us that 20-year-old Jamie Padgett was driving a 2021 Audi eastbound on 6th Avenue South, in the westbound lane just before the crash.  At the same time, 40-year-old Jimmy Anglade was traveling westbound on 6th Avenue South.

The front of Padgett’s Audi collided with the front of Anglade’s car in the westbound lane.  The Audi pushed Anglade’s car eastbound and both vehicles came to rest together in the westbound lane, east of the area of impact.

Anglade was pronounced dead on the scene by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.  All occupants of the Audi, including two passengers, were transported to the hospital for injuries sustained during the collision.

PBSO indicates that charges are pending and that Padgett was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

  4. I hope those girls are prosecuted accordingly. This will not be swept under the rug because he was a black man. How could the insurance company allow under aged drivers, then the accident, unbelievable. 3, under aged girls were able to possess alcohol and drive under influence that caused thi tragic death. I see ppl get charged for this, so there should be no other consequences for their actions. If younger kids had to do time for having a gun, then this shouldn’t be hard for justice to be served.

  5. I’ve know Jimmy since I was in 3rd grade we grew up together, roasting each other, coming to my house for hours everyday just to hang out and play PS2 games. He treated me like a little sister and let me win when we would challenge each other. I am so angry that someone who was like my brother was MURDERED by these reckless women who knew better than to drink and drive. There are many people who knew and loved Jimmy and we will demand justice and we better get it! Throw the book at these MURDERERS! They took away 3 little girls dad, they’ve caused so many hearts to break due to this MURDER. I’m going to make it my mission to be there for EVERY court date. Lock them up and throw away the keys on these Murderers!

  6. Jimmy was one of the coolest guys you can meet. He did not deserve this. When people do things like driving under any influence is not ok. They deserve to deal with the consequences no matter the age. Even though it won’t bring my brother back but there has not been a day yet without thinking of him.
