WEST PALM BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A pedestrian has died following a crash late last month on Benoist Farms Road in West Palm Beach, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators say the incident occurred around 10:20 p.m. on January 29, just south of Golden River Drive. A 2018 Hyundai Elantra was traveling southbound on Benoist Farms Road when it collided with a woman who was walking within the southbound lane of travel in an undetermined direction.

According to the sheriff’s office, the front driver side of the vehicle struck the pedestrian, causing her to be thrown a short distance in a southerly direction before coming to rest in the southbound lane. The vehicle continued south briefly before being brought to a controlled stop in the same lane.

The pedestrian, identified as 31-year-old Jasmine Carnae’ Blanchard of West Palm Beach, was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center with serious bodily injuries. Investigators later confirmed that Blanchard succumbed to her injuries on February 1 at 12:22 p.m. Next of kin has been notified.

The driver remained at the scene and reported no injuries. The crash remains under investigation by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
