BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Boca Raton gets a bright, dry Wednesday with highs near 80 and light winds, while a mostly quiet stretch continues into the weekend.
Today’s Weather — Wednesday, January 7, 2026
Boca Raton begins its daily cycle under clear skies which produce a simple weather system that delivers pleasant atmospheric conditions. Sunshine is the headline. It stays dry. The temperature reaches 80 degrees during the afternoon while the wind maintains a peaceful state which begins as a gentle breeze before it develops into a soft southeast wind that blows at 5 to 7 mph.
The car journey from I-95 to Glades Road during early morning hours showed two separate temperature zones because shaded areas remained cool but sunlight made the surrounding areas hot. The beach area needs to stay comfortable while the onshore waves should create a smooth wave transition during the last part of the process. Nothing sharp, nothing pushy. The southeast breeze brought a light wind which started blowing during the afternoon hours.
The sky stayed clear throughout the entire night from dusk until dawn while the air stayed at a pleasant temperature. Boca’s low is around 67 degrees. The winds decrease to their original strength when an east wind reaches 6 mph before it becomes completely still during the evening hours. The Intracoastal area will remain peaceful during evening hours because the water conditions provide clear views throughout most areas while maintaining comfortable air temperatures.
One thing to keep an eye on across the broader South Florida region this morning: the forecast discussion flags areas of dense fog as possible across Southwest Florida and the Lake Okeechobee region early Wednesday, with guidance suggesting the better odds inland and to the west. The aviation section shows that coastal Southwest Florida will experience fog which will expand into inland regions during the first part of the morning but most east coast terminals will maintain Visual Flight Rules (VFR) conditions throughout the night. The weather forecast for Boca shows a clear sunny day but other areas in the region experience foggy conditions which affect specific locations beyond the eastern coast metropolitan area.
Thursday looks like more of the same—mostly sunny and near 79. Winds stay light early, then become easterly at about 6 to 11 mph during the morning. Thursday night is mostly clear again, low around 70, with an east wind around 9 mph. The weather forecast shows Friday will maintain its dry conditions because it will be mostly sunny with temperatures reaching 79 degrees while east winds will blow at 9 to 14 mph and reach gusts of 20 mph. The first noticeable increase in temperature occurs at this point which becomes most apparent when you drive on Glades or Yamato roads or when you spend time in areas that face the open water.
