BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2024) — A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for Boca Raton as tropical storm force winds are possible within the next 24-48 hours.

Residents in Boca Raton and the surrounding areas can expect winds blowing at speeds ranging from 20 to 30 miles per hour and gusting up to 45 mph with a chance of winds hitting, between 58 and 73 mph that may result in substantial damage.

Prior to any strong tropical storm force winds residents should ensure they have plans, in place. This includes securing items and reinforcing windows and doors A crucial measure is to anchor mobile homes securely in place.
