Today’s Weather – Wednesday, February 25, 2026

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Boca Raton wakes up to a bright, quiet forecast. Sunshine is the headline for today along the I-95 corridor, around Glades Road and Lyons Road, and out toward the Intracoastal and the beaches, where the sky stays clear but the water remains a serious concern.

The National Weather Service forecast for 2 miles ESE of Boca Raton Airport calls for a sunny day with a high near 73. Winds start out light and variable, then turn southeast this morning at about 6 to 11 mph. It is the kind of February day that feels clean and calm in town, with comfortable temperatures through the afternoon and a steady onshore breeze setting up later in the morning.

Tonight stays mostly clear with a low around 62. Winds remain out of the south at 6 to 10 mph, keeping the night mild compared to the chilly starts earlier in the week. If you are heading out later, it is a good night for it. Clear skies, light wind, and temperatures that settle into the low 60s.

While Boca’s day-to-day weather looks easy, the bigger story for beachgoers is the rip current situation. A Rip Current Statement remains posted for Coastal Palm Beach County, with dangerous rip currents expected through Thursday evening. Even on a sunny day like this, the surf can be deceptive. The risk is not about thunderstorms or heavy rain. It is about the pull of the water.

For boaters and anyone near the inlet, marine conditions are improving compared to the rougher stretch earlier, but seas are still running elevated offshore. The marine forecast for the coastal waters from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach shows south winds 5 to 10 knots today, increasing to 10 to 15 knots late, with seas 3 to 5 feet and occasional 6-footers. The wave mix includes a lingering northeasterly swell. Intracoastal waters are expected to run a light chop.

If you are planning time at the beach, this is one of those days where the weather looks perfect and the water is not. The safest move is to stay near a lifeguard and treat the rip current warning as the main hazard on the board.

Current Advisories / Watches / Warnings

Rip Current Statement (High Rip Current Risk) remains in effect for Coastal Palm Beach County through Thursday evening.

The hazard is dangerous rip currents, and the advisory warns that rip currents can sweep even strong swimmers away from shore into deeper water. The guidance is to swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float, do not swim against the current, and if able, swim parallel to the shoreline. If you cannot escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.

A separate advisory listed in the area products is a Frost Advisory in effect until 8 a.m. this morning for Hendry, Glades, and Inland Collier counties.
