PBSO tells us that detectives to arrested 59-year-old Jose Malagon the following charges for Attempted Murder with a Firearm, Sexual Battery with a Firearm, and False Imprisonment.

JUPITER, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — A man is in custody after shooting a woman in a Jupiter apartment early this morning.

PBSO responded to Mallards Cove apartments in Jupiter just after 6 AM after reports that a woman has been shot inside one of the units. First arriving deputies found out that a male was inside of the residence with the woman who was shot. The male eventually surrendered to the deputies and was taken into custody.

The woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Detectives investigating the shooting say that motive is unknown at this time. PBSO said early on that there was no threat to the public, following the shooting.
