BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — Brightline President Patrick Goddard, Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer, and Kaufman Lynn Construction President Chris Long officially “Top Off” construction today at the new Boca Raton Brightline Station.

Construction of the Boca Raton station began in January 2022, creating more than 480 jobs and $23.4 million in wages annually.

The company says that approximately 129,000 visitors will use Brightline to visit Boca Raton each year and are projected to contribute up to $10.9 million in local spending. With the station being just minutes away from Boca Raton’s Mizner Park, Brightline’s 38,000-square foot station will include its signature features including an autonomous market and a premium lounge.

When it opens to the public by the end of 2022, the station will connect to other Brightline stations in South Florida in under an hour. It will connect to Brightline’s Orlando station in 2023.

Brightline is the only provider of modern, eco-friendly, intercity rail service in America. The company currently serves Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach, with stations in Aventura and Boca Raton opening at the end of 2022 and its Orlando station beginning service in 2023.

Brightline was recognized by Fast Company as one of the Most Innovative Companies in travel, offering a guest-first experience designed to reinvent train travel and take cars off the road. Brightline plans to bring its award-winning service to additional city pairs and congested corridors across the country that are too close to fly and too long to drive, with immediate plans to connect Las Vegas to Southern California.
