ROYAL PALM BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A man was killed Tuesday evening in a single-vehicle crash on Crestwood Boulevard in Royal Palm Beach, according to investigators with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash occurred shortly after 6:27 p.m. on Jan. 21 along Crestwood Boulevard near its intersection with Okeechobee Boulevard. Investigators said the vehicle was traveling northbound through the inside through lane when the driver failed to negotiate a right curve in the roadway and mounted the concrete center median.

According to investigators, the vehicle rotated counterclockwise after leaving the roadway. The front passenger-side fender then struck a large tree located in the center median. The vehicle came to an uncontrolled final rest at the scene.

The driver was transported from the crash site to St. Mary’s Medical Center by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. Investigators said the driver was pronounced deceased at 7:14 p.m. due to injuries sustained in the collision.

The driver was identified as Patrick Matthew Fogarty, 33, of West Palm Beach. Next of kin has been notified. The crash remains under investigation.

Serious and fatal traffic crashes, along with resulting roadway disruptions, are documented by Boca Post as cases develop.
