BROWARD COUNTY, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Families across South Florida who plan a year ahead for graduation dates, travel, and tickets now have a clearer roadmap from Broward County Public Schools.
The district says it will publish a revised graduation schedule for the Class of 2026 next week after receiving feedback from School Board members and the community. In the same update, the district says each school will hold its ceremony in the same venue, or a comparable venue, as 2025, and that every graduate is guaranteed a minimum of four guest tickets.
BCPS describes its graduation page as a central hub for commencement information, schedules, and resources for the Class of 2026, framing the rollout as the district’s way of honoring “the achievements, determination and future aspirations” of graduating students.
The district also laid out how venues were assigned. BCPS says graduation venue assignments have historically been based on the size of the graduating class, and it says it used the same methodology for the 2026 schedule. According to the district’s breakdown, 33 of the 44 ceremonies will be held in eight district-owned facilities.
BCPS says its largest district-owned venue can seat 575 graduates and accommodate 2,500 guests. For the 11 largest graduating classes, which the district defines as classes larger than 555 graduates, BCPS says those ceremonies will be moved to larger venues. Under the plan, nine schools will graduate at Nova Southeastern University and two schools will graduate at Hard Rock Live.
Ticket access is the other piece families watch closely, and the district put that in writing. BCPS says each graduate is guaranteed at least four tickets for their commencement ceremony. The district also says additional tickets may be distributed depending on venue capacity and availability, and at the discretion of each school.
For families balancing work schedules, younger siblings, out-of-town relatives, and the practical reality of limited seating, the schedule includes set dates, start times, and locations. The listed ceremonies run from Thursday, May 28 through Wednesday, June 3, with events held at district locations including Blanche Ely High School, Dillard High School, and the Pompano Beach High School Gymnasium, as well as outside venues including Nova Southeastern University and Hard Rock Live.
A sample of the schedule highlights how the district spread ceremonies across venues and times. Cypress Bay High School is listed for Monday, June 1 at 10 a.m. at Hard Rock Live. Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School is listed for Monday, June 1 at 5 p.m. at Hard Rock Live. Several schools are scheduled at Nova Southeastern University, including Boyd Anderson High School on Saturday, May 30 at 7 p.m., Everglades High School on Friday, May 29 at 7 p.m., and Western High School on Sunday, May 31 at 10 a.m.
Other schools are scheduled at district sites, including Deerfield Beach High School on Friday, May 29 at 2 p.m. at Dillard High School, Piper High School on Friday, May 29 at 7 p.m. at Dillard High School, and Fort Lauderdale High School on Monday, June 1 at 2 p.m. at Dillard High School. Pompano Beach High School appears as both a school ceremony site and a gym venue for multiple programs, with events listed there from May 28 through June 2.
BCPS also included a “Graduation Decorum” section stating that to ensure graduations are conducted in a dignified fashion, students and parents must adhere to principles of decorum and etiquette. The district did not provide additional detail in the material provided here, but the notice signals that commencement rules and expectations will be part of the official guidance families should review.
