Boca Raton Police have issued the following statement on Monday, December 30th, 2024:

Just after 4:30 p.m. yesterday, Boca Raton Police responded to an attempted
robbery in the east parking lot at 6000 W Glades Road. As the victim was walking towards her
vehicle from the mall with a shopping bag, the suspect approached and pepper-sprayed the
victim before pulling at the handle of her shopping bag. A struggle ensued and the suspect fled
on foot without possession of the bag. The victim sustained minor injuries.

The suspect is described as a white female of average height, approximately 30 to 50 years old,
with brown hair. She was wearing a light-colored shirt and dark pants. Officers conducted a
search of the area and the suspect was not located. At this point in the investigation, it appears
the victim was followed out of a department store after purchasing a luxury handbag.
