BREAKING Deputy Injured During Vehicle Seizure in Pembroke Pines

PEMBROKE PINES, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14, a Broward Sheriff’s Office Civil Division deputy was seizing a vehicle in the 18000 block of Southwest Third Street in Pembroke Pines.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle drove off and dragged the deputy a short distance before crashing. The deputy suffered minor injuries, and the driver of the vehicle was taken into custody.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
