BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — On Friday, January 23, 2026, at approximately 11:51 a.m., deputies responded to a welfare check in the 6000 block of Golf Vista Way, unincorporated Boca Raton. Upon arrival, deputies located a deceased individual inside the residence.
The Violent Crimes Division responded and assumed the investigation. Detectives are waiting on a search warrant to enter the residence to investigate further. This is an active and ongoing investigation.

UPDATE – 1/25/2025 – 11:34 AM – The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office now says the individual found deceased during a welfare check Friday morning was the victim of a homicide.
According to investigators, the suspect — who was known to the victim — was later located with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities say there is no threat to the public.
