JUPITER, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2025) — A Jupiter Farms man was killed early Friday morning after being struck by a Tesla while riding his bicycle along Indiantown Road, according to a report from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division.
Deputies say the crash happened around 1:23 a.m. in the 9300 block of Indiantown Road. Investigators determined that a westbound Tesla, driven by 21-year-old Wyatt Thomas of Jupiter, collided with the rear of a bicycle traveling in the same direction.
The impact threw the cyclist — identified as 38-year-old Sean Norris, also of Jupiter Farms — over the hood of the vehicle. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue pronounced Norris dead at the scene at 1:43 a.m.
The report indicates that neither alcohol nor drugs were factors. No charges have been filed as of Friday morning, though the investigation remains ongoing.
Thomas remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, according to PBSO’s Traffic Division report prepared by Investigator J. Frey.
Indiantown Road remained partially closed for several hours overnight as deputies processed the scene.
