Marvin Popeck Passes Away After Deadly West Boca Crash

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office tells Boca Post that they are investigating an accident where an 87-year-old Boca Raton man was killed.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office tells Boca Post that at approximately 3:29 PM on Tuesday, September 20th, 2022, deputies responded to the area of Glades Road and 81st Ave S in Boca Raton.

According to PBSO traffic homicide investigators, a Chevy Colorado, driven by 37-year-old Felipe Foster, was heading eastbound on Glades Rd, approaching 81st Ave. S. (a shopping center entrance).

At the same time, a Toyota Camry, driven by 87-year-old Marvin Popeck, had been heading westbound just west of 81st Ave S. For unknown reasons, Popeck made a left turn and crossed over the center median. After crossing the median, Popeck’s Camry struck Foster’s Colorado almost head-on.

Both vehicles redirected after impact to the south side of Glades Rd. Popeck had been transported to Delray Medical for injuries. He later died on September 21, 2022, from injuries sustained in the crash.
