BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Boca Raton stays mostly sunny today with a few late showers possible, then turns breezy Sunday before a sharp, windy cool-down hits early next week.

Today’s Weather – Saturday, January 24, 2026

Boca Raton starts Saturday on the warm side for late January, with plenty of sun and just a small window for showers later in the day.

The National Weather Service forecast for the Boca Raton Airport area calls for mostly sunny skies and a high near 78 today. Rain chances stay relatively low, but they are not zero. There is a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 3 p.m., which puts the best odds for quick hit showers in the late afternoon and early evening window when people are out running errands, heading to the beach, or moving along Glades Road and the I-95 corridor.

Winds stay modest for most of the day, coming out of the east at 7 to 11 mph. That onshore flow should keep the immediate coastline comfortable, especially near the Intracoastal and along the beach, while the western suburbs feel a touch warmer under the sun when the breeze eases.

There is also a fog note in the broader South Florida forecast discussion this morning. The National Weather Service said dense fog is possible across inland and western portions of South Florida early today. For Boca Raton specifically, that is more relevant for inland spots and western routes earlier in the morning, particularly where winds are light and visibility can drop quickly before improving later.

For tonight, the Boca forecast keeps conditions mild with a low around 70 and partly cloudy skies. Shower chances fade further, with a 20 percent chance of showers before 9 p.m. Winds turn southeast around 9 mph overnight.

If you are on the water or planning beach time, marine conditions are relatively calm today, but the pattern shifts fast over the next couple of days. For the coastal waters from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach out 20 nautical miles, winds today are out of the east around 10 knots with seas around 2 feet. The marine forecast also keeps a slight chance of showers. Intracoastal waters are expected to run light chop through the day, a manageable setup for most local boating.

Tonight on the water, winds increase a bit to 10 to 15 knots out of the east, with seas 2 to 3 feet and a moderate chop on the Intracoastal.

The bigger message for Boca Raton is the timing. Today is not a washout. Most hours should be dry with sun overhead, but it is worth keeping an eye out after mid-afternoon if you have outdoor plans near the beach or you are moving between the barrier island and the mainland.
