WEST PALM BEACH, FL (Boca Post) — With inflation surging, PBC Clerk is making it a little easier for drivers with suspended licenses to get their licenses reinstated by waiving collection agency fees.

Florida law requires that Clerk’s offices turn unpaid fees and court fines to collection agencies who then turn around and charge fees which can cost up to 40% of the total owed. The Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller of Palm Beach County is offering some relief.

The office tells Boca Post that they will be waiving collection agency fees for anyone who wishes to pay their overdue fines in full. This will give those who have suspended driver’s licenses the chance to pay unpaid fees and save money while reinstating their driving privilege. The fees will be waived from March 28th to April 1st.

“If you have a suspended license because of unpaid traffic tickets, collection agency fees are one more hurdle to return to driving legally,” said Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller Joseph Abruzzo. “Operation Green Light is an opportunity for drivers to save money and reinstate their driving privileges, allowing them to get back to normal.”
