PAHOKEE, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2025) — Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a shooting call early Saturday and found an adult man dead in Pahokee, authorities said.

The call came in around 6:38 a.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2025, in the 8600 block of Glades Drive, PBSO said. When deputies arrived, they located the victim, an adult male, who was pronounced dead at the scene with what investigators described as apparent gunshot wounds.

The Sheriff’s Office said detectives with its Violent Crimes Division responded and took over the case. As of Saturday, PBSO said the suspect is unknown and a motive has not been identified.

The agency did not release the victim’s name, age, or any details about what may have led up to the shooting. Investigators also did not say whether there were any witnesses, whether the victim was found outdoors or inside a home, or whether any weapons were recovered.

Saturday’s homicide investigation unfolded in the Glades area, a part of western Palm Beach County where law enforcement response times can stretch depending on distance and conditions. Deputies remained in the area as detectives worked the scene and began trying to piece together what happened.

PBSO asked anyone with information to come forward, including people who may have seen or heard something around the time deputies were called to the 8600 block of Glades Drive.

Tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers by calling **TIPS or 1-800-458-TIPS. PBSO also encouraged residents to remain anonymous by downloading the “PBSO” app for Apple or Android devices and using the “See Something” feature, with information available at pbsoapp.com.

The investigation remains active.
