David Campbell Of Riviera Beach In Critical Condition

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — A pedestrian struck by a car on Gun Club Road in suburban West Palm Beach early on Tuesday morning s in critical condition.

PBSO Deputies and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue responded to the accident near Gun Club Road and Congress Ave just before 6 AM on Tuesday, August 29th, 2023.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, 52-year-old David Campbell was crossing eastbound across Congress Avenue, north of Gun Club Road. At the same time, Henry Grimes was driving a Mazda CX30 northbound on Congress Avenue, north of Gun Club Road in the outside northbound lane.

Investigators tell us Campbell crossed into the path of the vehicle, causing a violent collision between the front of the vehicle and the right side of Campbell. As a result of the collision, Campbell  vaulted off the passenger side of the vehicle and struck the roadway.

Campbell was transported to St Mary’s Medical Center due to injuries sustained during the collision. No other injuries were reported.
