OAKLAND PARK, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking the public for help locating 82-year-old Emmanuel Janvier, who was last seen Tuesday afternoon in Oakland Park.
Detectives said Janvier was last seen around 1:40 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, in the 400 block of Northwest 40th Court. He left the area as a passenger in a silver vehicle.
Janvier is described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall and about 180 pounds. He is bald with brown eyes. Detectives said he was last seen wearing a striped plaid shirt, black pants and a hat.
According to his family, Janvier suffers from dementia and high blood pressure.
BSO is the agency handling the case and is asking anyone who may have seen Janvier or has information about where he is to call BSO Detective Leonard Charla at 954-321-4274. Tips can also be made through the BSO non-emergency number at 954-764-HELP (4357).
For residents in Boca Raton and across Palm Beach County who travel through Broward, BSO is asking the public to keep an eye out for Janvier and to report any information directly to the numbers provided.
