1 In Critical Condition. 3 Others Injured In Shooting. Shooter On The Loose.

NORTH LAUDERDALE, FL (Boca Post) — BSO is reporting that 4 are injured in a shooting overnight at Player’s Sports Bar in North Lauderdale.

A late night shooting caused a heavy response by Broward Sheriff’s Office to Player’s Sports Bar located at 5280 FL-7, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33319. The shooting occurred just after 3:30am after a fight reportedly broke out in the establishment. 4 victims are being treated for gunshot wounds with one being considered to potentially being in a life threatening condition.

The 911 call first appeared on Boca Post at 3:37am where BSO resources were dispatched in response to a Shooting call.

According to Boca Post dispatch logs, this location had the following other dispatches within the last 30 days:

  • Fight on 1/9/22 at 11:23pm
  • Assault on 1/22/22 at 1:47am

From Broward Sheriff’s Office:

Just after 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 6, Broward Regional Communications responded to reports of a shooting in the 5200 block of North State Road 7. Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived and located three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. North Lauderdale Fire Rescue also responded and transported the victims to an area hospital. A fourth victim self-transported to an area hospital. One individual suffered injuries that may be life-threatening; the other three victims suffered injuries that are not expected to be life-threatening. The preliminary investigation revealed that a fight occurred inside the Player’s Sports Bar and Grill and a patron was removed. That individual is believed to have shot at the business, striking multiple people.

The shooter fled southbound on North State Road 7. BSO’s Violent Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Unit are investigating the circumstances of this incident.
