Robert Headley, 59, Charged With Murder
NORTH LAUDERDALE, FL — BSO arrested Robert Headley after they say he shot and killed a woman in North Lauderdale early on Sunday morning.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, Homicide Unit detectives have apprehended Headley, in connection with a shooting that took place in North Lauderdale on Sunday morning.
Around 4;28 AM on September 17th, 2023, the regional communications department of Broward County received a call reporting a shooting incident in the 1100 block of Sussex Drive in North Lauderdale. Deputies from BSO promptly responded to the scene. Discovered an adult victim inside a residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Sadly she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following the shooting, Robert Headley was said to have remained at the location. He has been taken into custody at the Broward County Main Jail. Headley faces charges of second degree murder involving a firearm, well as aggravated assault, with a deadly weapon.
