Palm Beach County, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — Palm Beach County officials on Thursday, December 30th, 2021 have announced that when the government returns for normal business next week they will have to be wearing facemasks, again.

Palm Beach County has issued a press release stating that they will be reinstating the mask mandate as part of the updated facial coverings policy to guide county staff and the general public while in county-owned and leased buildings. This mask mandate will go in to effect on Monday, January 3rd, 2022.

The press release cites a CDC recommendation which states “The CDC recommends wearing masks in public indoor settings, and public in areas of substantial or high community transmission regardless of individual vaccination status.”

In the press release, PBC reminds the public that “Law Enforcement has the authority to issue a trespass warning and remove any individuals not in compliance with this policy.”

Local municipalities generally follow county government policies so we shall wait and see if the municipalities like Boca Raton quickly follow suit.
