Possible Tornado Touched Down In Kings Point, Massive Damage

DELRAY BEACH, FL (Boca Post) — Fire Rescue responded to reports of a tornado possibly touching down in Kings Point where they found major damage to buildings and vehicles.

Many residents tell us that many are without power in Kings Point following a possible tornado that touched down while Hurricane Ian approached the west coast of Florida. All of South Florida has been under tornado watches and warnings due to the approach of the massive storm.

Sources close to the scene tell Boca Post that Palm Beach County Fire Rescue was on the scene throughout the night performing search and rescue operations.

Boca Post has learned at least 50 people have been displaced due to the storm. Red Cross was dispatched to provide food, shelter, and clothing to the displaced residents.

It was reported that a building in Piedmont had a partial roof removal. Additionally, three more buildings in Flanders were reported to have heavy structural damage. Additional damage is being reported.
