BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — The City of Boca Raton tells Boca Post that Boca Raton railroad crossings will be closed in preparation for the new Brightline station over the next few weeks including a full closure of Palmetto Park road today.

In preparation for the new station, which will be located at NW 1st Ave, Brightline is conducting work at all nearby crossings in Boca Raton.

Part of the work, the city tells us, includes a complete closure of Palmetto Park Road starting today.

Palmetto Park Road will be closed and all traffic detoured to NW 2nd Ave and Dixie Highway depending on the direction of travel.

The city expects this closure from today through Wednesday, June 15th, 2022.

The next closure related to this project will be the 2nd avenue crossing. That one is expected to start on June 18th through June 30th.
