Family Of Boca Raton Tri-Rail Train Accident Survivor Asking For Help

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2025) — A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support the woman injured in last week’s train crash on Palmetto Park Road at I-95. The fundraiser says Jennifer, who survived after her vehicle was struck by a train on Nov. 12, is now facing significant financial loss despite walking away without serious injuries.

As first reported by Boca Post, the crash temporarily shut down westbound lanes near the Tri-Rail crossing while emergency crews responded and investigators worked the scene. A source at the time told Boca Post the driver was transported to Delray Medical Center and that she had been wearing a seatbelt during the collision.

According to the GoFundMe page titled “Help Jennifer Recover from Train Accident Costs”, Jennifer’s family says her car was completely totaled and will not be covered because her insurance policy only carried bodily injury coverage, not property coverage. The fundraiser states she may also be responsible for “costs related to damages involving the train and city property.”

The campaign notes the crash comes during an already difficult period for the family. Earlier this year, Jennifer’s husband’s car was also totaled in a separate incident, leaving both without transportation. The page says they are now struggling to manage daily life while navigating the aftermath.

“If you know Jennifer, you know she has a heart of gold,” the GoFundMe description reads. It describes her as someone who is “the first to help others, give what she can, and show up for everyone around her.”

Funds raised will go toward accident-related expenses, securing a replacement vehicle, and transportation needs while the couple works to recover. The family is asking the community to support the campaign by donating or sharing.

“Any amount is deeply appreciated,” the GoFundMe page says, adding that sharing the link is just as meaningful for those unable to contribute financially.

As of publication time, the campaign remains active and is continuing to seek support.
