Boca Belt Guy “Strikes” Again

Boca Raton’s Anthony Grillo Accused Of Attacking Roommate With Belt. Third Belt Attack In A Year.

Boca Raton'S Anthony Grillo Arrested Again

Boca Raton’S Anthony Grillo Arrested Again

BOCA RATON, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — The Boca Belt Guy, Anthony Grillo, of Century Village in Boca Raton, is accused of attacking his roommate with a belt while he was sleeping.

Anthony Grillo, 61, of the 4000 block of NW 27th Ave in Boca Raton, has been arrested Tuesday morning by the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office. Boca Post has been notified that the charges filed include “BATTERY – TOUCH OR STRIKE”

According to an arrest report submitted by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to Century Village in Boca Raton to meet with Grillo after he called them to accuse his roommate of stealing his jewelry and ATM card.

When deputies arrived, they spoke to the roommate who said he was sleeping when Grillo woke him up and allegedly attacked him with a belt. The roommate says Grillo accused him of stealing his jewelry and ATM card.

Deputies observed apparent injuries on the roommate’s shoulder which they say are consistent with Grillo’s alleged belt attack. It is unclear if the roommate stole any of Grillo’s belongings; however, it is clear that Grillo has been arrested for the third belt attack in less than a year.

If the name sounds familiar, it should. Grillo has been arrested in Palm Beach County at least 8 times since November of 2021. Boca Post first reported on Anthony Grillo last November when he was accused of attacking a security guard in the Apple store at the Boca Town Center Mall with his belt.  Then, only weeks later, Grillo was arrested for attacking another man with his belt at a Publix in Boca Raton.  We also reported on another incident where he is accused of returning to the Apple store he was previously banned from for the belt attack. That case also references a violation of the domestic violence protection order.

Grillo was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail at 9:40 on Tuesday morning. Grillo was released hours later without any bond. Grillo is scheduled for arraignment next month.

  1. I’m saddened to read about Mr Grillo. He was my boss 9/11 and handled operations like a pro , this is not the Anthony Grillo I remember and quite possibly he could be having a breakdown .Arrested 8 times indicates a possible issue with either ptsd or other defect either way I’m curious to see if the help he needs is being offered. The behavior mentioned in your articles does not fit the person..

    • You are 100% correct, he is not getting the help he needs.
It’s all out of character for anyone that knows him.

  2. I totally agree with Mr. Triola and Marie. This is not the Anthony Grillo we all know. He had 100’s of friends North & South. A true Mr. MOM to his two very well behaved and gifted children…. and his lovely wife. We all hope he gets the proper help he needs, before it’s too late…. We are all praying for Anthony.

  3. All three articles are False and one-sided. The first Internet the individual a question was an Apple employee who kept badgering me in which I did tell the head of security to have him leave me alone. I will prove that in the court of law. The second incident I never use the belt I took it off and threw it on the floor and discussed over an interloper who doesn’t mind his own business which is typical for Boca Raton people entitled aristocrats. The final incident is nothing more than a misunderstanding among two friends. It seems when you’re going through a divorce everybody seems to take sides and this is the case that I’m currently going through I’m not the month to they project me to be I will have my day in court I will be exonerated of all charges watch and learn

  5. There is long documented history of this man’s mental instability. He needs to be psychiatrically evaluated and properly treated. 3 arrests having to do with belt attacks and 8 total arrests in less than a year. This is not a coincidence. You can’t go through life thinking you can do and treat people any way you seem fit. If he was normal at one time he definitely is not now and should get help. Everyone deserves second chances but what the person does with those chances is what matters.

  6. This is the same guy that beat a publix employee one night after he held him against his wishes. Then later that week. That Anthony Grillo seems very stable.
