BOCA RATON, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — Lowell Schoonmaker of Boca Raton has been arrested and charged with written threats to kill (threats of mass shooting), according to jail records released to Boca Post by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Lowell Schoonmaker, 33, of the 2400 block of NW 67th street in Boca Raton, has been arrested by the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office. According to the official arrest affidavit, Schoonmaker is charged with “INTIMIDATION – WRITTEN/ELEC THREAT MASS SHOOTING/TERRORISM ACT”.

PBSO detectives tell Boca Post that they reviewed a FBI Guardian Tip which stated that on December 9, 2022, the username “fugqeubish”, while in a streaming chat, made several disturbing statements that violated Twitch.com terms and subsequently suspended the user.

  • “it’s time for me to ruin my world.”

When detectives went so speak with Schoonmaker, he said that he made stupid comments on Twitch a few days ago that he shouldn’t have said. Detectives asked Schoonmaker if he remembered what he said and he stated “I said I was going to kill 20 people.”

Detectives questioned Schoonmaker as to why he said that and he stated he was depressed, drank, and wanted to kill himself due to the recent passing of his grandfather in New York. When detectives asked Schoonmaker if he still felt like harming himself or others and he stated he didn’t. Schoonmaker reiterated he was drunk and didn’t mean it. Schoonmaker was said to not have any firearms in the home.
