Boca Man Unfit To Own Animals Arrested For Animal Abuse – Sean Kirtz

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — A Boca Raton man is in jail tonight after being arrested by Boca Raton Police Department for an animal abuse charge.

While Boca Post is awaiting the probable affidavit, the PBSO booking log tells us that Sean Kirtz, 37, of San Marino in Boca Raton, is facing a serious animal abuse charge titled “CONSERVATION-ANIMALS – TORTURE INFLCT PAIN SERIOUS PHYSICAL INJ DEATH”. This animal abuse charge is usually used when someone intentionally caused significant harm to an animal.

While Boca Post is waiting for the probable cause affidavit, we can tell from reviewing documents from the county clerk that Kirtz has had some recent dealings with PBC Animal Care and Control.

Court records indicate that Kirtz recently had a dog, Isabella, removed from his custody and had to pay Animal Care and Control close to $1,700 for expenses related to the care of that dog. The civil complaint references Isabella’s sibling who has mysteriously died. The final judgment bans Kirtz from ever owning an animal.

Investigators say that Kirtz didn’t know what caused Isabella’s injuries that were previously reported by Boca Veterinary Clinic who reported the suspected abuse to ACC. On December 26th, 2022, Investigators impounded Isabella. Isabella was found to have been suffering from chemical burns on her skin which were exacerbated by the puppy self-mutilating the affected areas. The ACC Vetinarian determined that Isabella was in obvious pain and was suffering.

We will update this article once we have reviewed the probable cause affidavit.

Kirtz is currently in PBSO custody with a $3,000 bond.
