DELRAY BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2025) — The Delray Beach police department needs public assistance to locate an 18-year-old who disappeared after experiencing a medical crisis at Home Depot on Linton Boulevard during Wednesday morning.

The department released a Facebook statement which identified Wilmer Martinez as the missing teenager who was with his father at the store before he disappeared from the store and walked towards I-95. Delray Beach Police expressed concern about his safety because he has experienced seizures before.

Police describe Wilmer Martinez as a 5 feet 10 tall man who weighs 200 pounds and was last seen wearing a blue shirt with “Honduras” written on it and blue shorts. The police believe he walked away from the scene on foot because his medical condition requires immediate treatment.

The search efforts concentrate on the commercial area surrounding Linton Boulevard which includes multiple shops and warehouses located east of Interstate 95. The police investigation did not uncover Martinez’s escape path or any further information about his location following the initial emergency alert.

The police department needs surveillance footage from local businesses to solve incidents which take place near major retailers and parking facilities located along Linton Boulevard. The situation did not show if surveillance cameras captured the incident or if police performed a thorough search of the entire area.

The department asks everyone to contact 561-243-7800 when they see Martinez or when they have information about his present whereabouts.

The police maintained their investigation of the case throughout Wednesday afternoon until the day ended.

The police department requested Delray Beach residents who live near the area to maintain vigilance.
