Broward Sheriff’s Office tells Boca Post that 72-year-old Chris Karanicas has been located and is now safe.

Investigators with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit have located 72-year-old Chris Karanicas missing from Pembroke Park.
According to detectives, Karanicas was located in Miami and taken to Jackson North Medical Center before being returned with his caregivers early this morning.
A missing person alert was issued on Saturday, June 11, after Karanicas was last seen at around 11:30 a.m. near the 3500 block of Southwest 52nd Avenue in Pembroke Park.

PEMBROKE PARK, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — A 72-year-old Pembroke Park man is missing and Broward Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public’s help to locate a 72-year-old man missing from Pembroke Park.
Detectives say Chris Karanicas was last seen at approximately 11:30 a.m., Saturday, June 11, near the 3500 block of Southwest 52nd Avenue in Pembroke Park. Karanicas is 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs approximately 180 pounds, and has grey hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey shirt and grey sweatpants, riding a black mobility scooter.
According to investigators, Karanicas suffers from paralysis on the left side of his body.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact BSO Detective Chris Blankenship at 954-321-4268 or the BSO non-emergency number at 954-764-HELP (4357).
