LAUDERDALE LAKES, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2024) — BSO released video of strong arm robbery that happened in Lauderdale Lakes.

See video below.

The detectives in charge of investigating robberies at the Broward Sheriff’s Office have released surveillance footage of a robbery that took place in Lauderdale Lakes on January 6. They are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the person involved.

On that Saturday, at around 5;10 p.m., BSO deputies responded to a robbery report near the 3600 block of West Commercial Boulevard. When they arrived, an employee informed them that an unidentified individual, who was heavily built and dressed entirely in black, entered the store carrying a blue bag. The individual demanded money from the cash register. At first, the employee refused to comply but eventually opened the register out of fear when the subject became verbally aggressive.

The surveillance video from the incident shows how the subject leaned over the counter and took several hundred dollars from the cash register before leaving the store. The subject then made their getaway in a white vehicle whose make and model remain unknown.

Detectives suspect that this same person may have committed a similar crime in Davie town.

If you have any information regarding this strong arm robber’s identity or whereabouts, please contact Detective Armando Enrique at BSO Robbery Unit on 954 321 4233. If you want to stay anonymous, you can get in touch with Broward Crime Stoppers by calling 954 493 TIPS (8477), visiting their website at browardcrimestoppers.org or dialing **TIPS (8477) from any cellphone within the United States.
