BSO Investigating Shooting In Lauderdale Lakes

LAUDERDALE LAKES, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — Detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred in Lauderdale Lakes on Thursday, May 4th, 2023.

According to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 12 p.m., Broward County Regional Communications received a shots fired call near the intersection of Northwest 33rd Avenue and West Oakland Park Boulevard in Lauderdale Lakes. Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to investigate.

A short time later, deputies were notified that a male who was shot had driven himself to a fire station in Lauderhill. Lauderhill Fire Rescue transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment.

Detectives with BSO’s Violent Crimes Unit are investigating the circumstance surrounding this shooting. Investigators are interviewing a person of interest. The investigation continues.
