FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — Fort Lauderdale Police are investigating the murder of a 40-year-old Tallahassee man who they say was shot to death on Saturday, April 8th, 2023.

According to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, detectives are investigating the homicide of an adult male that occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, April 8th.

This incident occurred in the 700 block of Northwest 22nd Road in the City of Fort Lauderdale. A preliminary investigation revealed multiple 911 calls were received regarding a shooting. When Fort Lauderdale police officers arrived, the victim was located suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers attempted life-saving measures until Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue arrived and pronounced the victim dead. The victim has been identified as Jermaine Montique, B/M, DOB 1/26/1983, a resident of Tallahassee, Florida.
